Polynesian Expo

Polynesian Expo

Thursday, 19 November 2015  | Nicky - Middle School Teacher
Last Thursday, Cycle A had their annual Polynesian Expo! There were 4 countries represented: Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands. Each group of about 5 students researched and presented information about what was important to the people of their country. Island culture is quite unique, and each member of the group had to look at one area of culture in detail such as food, celebrations, language and history.

There was some lovely food to enjoy and even some dancing! The students did a great job at communicating their information and setting up their stalls creatively. Each Cycle A class had a few minutes to explore all of Cycle A’s presentations, then went back to their home class to do a more formal presentation. Well done, everyone!
