Mount Evelyn Christian School is seeking a friendly, practical, and motivated Maintenance & Property Officer to join our community-focused team. Starting 10th March 2026, this is a rewarding part-time role for someone who takes pride in keeping facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, and families.
Working closely with the Property Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining our buildings, grounds, and equipment, contributing directly to the smooth day-to-day operation of the school. No two days are the same. This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, values teamwork, and appreciates being part of a supportive Christian school environment where their contribution truly matters. If you’re reliable, safety-minded, and enjoy making a visible difference in a vibrant school setting, we would love to hear from you.
Required qualifications include:
Demonstrated experience in general property maintenance, repairs, and the safe use of tools and equipment (e.g. mower, brushcutter, chainsaw or similar), with the ability to carry out tasks under the direction of the Property Manager and maintenance plan.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with flexibility to assist the Property Manager as required, including acting on their behalf when needed.
A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to maintaining school buildings, facilities, and grounds.
Hold a current Working with Children Check.
Have a current National Police Check or obtain one prior to being offered a position.

Mount Evelyn Christian School is seeking a highly organised, welcoming, and detail-oriented Catering & Events Coordinator to join our Administration team. This role is central to the life of our school, supporting day-to-day catering operations and delivering hospitality for a wide range of school events that bring our community together.
Working closely with school leadership, the Enrolment Manager, and event organisers, you will play a key role in creating warm, well-run, and memorable experiences for students, families, staff, and guests. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives under pressure, and takes pride in excellence and service. If you are practical, proactive, and passionate about contributing to a Christ-centred school environment, we would love to hear from you.
Required qualifications and experience include:
Demonstrated experience coordinating catering operations, including ordering, inventory control, budgeting, supplier relationships, and food safety compliance.
The ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver catering and hospitality for a wide range of school events, working collaboratively with staff and event organisers.
Strong organisational skills with a very high level of attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively.
A friendly, flexible, and professional approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Confidence in managing budgets, preparing purchase orders, and reconciling credit cards at month-end.
Effective computer literacy, including MS Office, Google applications, and email.
A genuine passion for the vision and mission of Mount Evelyn Christian School.
Hold a current Working with Children Check.

Mount Evelyn Christian School is seeking applicants for Casual Relief Teachers to work in our Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School. Casual Relief Teachers are generally engaged at short notice, usually for a half-day or full day, and occasionally several days at a time. New graduates and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
