Bus Driver

We have a position available for a part time (0.32 Full Time Equivalent) School Bus Driver, commencing immediately. The primary role of the Bus Driver is to drive one of the school’s buses at the beginning and end of each school day.

To be successful in the role you will need to hold a current medium rigid truck license, be able to meet the requirements of the job, hold a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate, and wholeheartedly join a team implementing a biblical approach to education as MECS provides Christ-centred schooling with learning experiences that challenge each student to actively live for God in His world, while partnering with Christian parents in the nurture of their children.

Secondary Art Teacher

Learning Assistant

We have a part-time (minimum 3 days a week) position available for a Primary Learning Assistant (Teacher’s Aide), commencing Term 2, 2022.

Applicants should be suitably qualified, have previous experience in a similar Education Support role and be highly motivated. You must have a Working with Children Card and current Police Record Check. Compliance with the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Directions is a legal and required condition of employment.

Learning Assistants have a broad role. They undertake a variety of duties which mostly comprise assisting teachers and supporting students in the classroom and other educational activities, and providing attendant care and assistance to students, as required. The position may also include some administrative or clerical tasks, and assistance with resources in a variety of school settings, such as the classroom, library and laboratories. English & Drama Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced teacher to commence 11 July 2022. This position will be fixed (6 month) 0.48 FTE across 8 days per fortnight.

CRT Employment Applications

We are seeking applicants for Casual Relief Teachers to cover Primary and Secondary School. Casual Relief Teachers are generally engaged at short notice, usually for a half-day or full day, and occasionally several days at a time. New graduates and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Certificate IV in Education Support - Student Placement

MECS provides a limited number of student placement positions for those completing their Certificate IV in Education Support. Placements can be in the Primary or Secondary school. People completing their Education Support student placement at MECS will be provided with support to complete assignments set by their course provider. In addition to this, placement students will be allocated to a variety of educational settings within the school at the direction of the Education Support Coordinators.

Due to the high demand for placement positions, applicants for student placement positions are required submit a written application as per below. Applicants will then be invited to a short interview to ensure their suitably for the MECS workplace.
